Health and Safety

Health & Safety

We strive for continuous improvement in health & safety performance. Our commitment to health & safety contributes to the success and efficiency of every project, which in turn contributes to client satisfaction. Sterling Services retains the services of Health and Safety Consultants to provide training, advice and to monitor the performance on health and safety matters both in the factory and on site.

Safety begins with training for our own teams based on the national standards, the Health & Safety Executive legislations and in accordance with our company safety policy. To maintain high standards, all managers and members of staff undergo special regular Health & Safety courses.

At our factory: Sterling Services is responsible for ensuring that all factory activities are carried out with full health and safety assessments, reports, notifications and regular reviews. Sterling Services encourages a culture of health and safety awareness, reporting, discussions and actions.

On site:  Just as safety has to be designed into every project by the Architects, Sterling Services is responsible for ensuring the construction is planned and carried out with a full health & safety specification throughout the supply chain. This applies to every aspect of the work, down to the fine details of the materials that are specified and used, as well as the preparation of method statements to ensure safe systems of working.

In the community:  Our teams work closely with the community to ensure our projects do not present a risk to their health and safety. This involves close cooperation with local police, respresentatives from schools, colleges and residents.
